Box Score The Brock women's volleyball team improved to .500 after defeating the visiting Queen's Golden Gaels by a score of 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 25-21, 29-27) at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Saturday.
"It was a crazy match. We lost our starting setter (Emily Armstrong) in the first set," said head coach Steve Delaney. "Then rookie Sara Rohr came in and led us to victory."
Rohr dished out 23 assists and five digs, while Laura Condotta tallied 11 kills and 13 digs. Grace Edwards manufactured nine kills and six digs.
Jamie Holland scored eight kills.
"Holland was unbelievable with seven blocked points and hitting over .600 efficiency," said Delaney.
Darby Taylor contributed seven kills and six digs, and Grace Pyatt registered six kills. Mikaylla Law-Heese added seven digs.
"It was a real character win, because we were down at times and got the job done against a really strong Queen's team," said Delaney. "A great win for the program, and a great win for the girls."
Up next, the Badgers (3-3) visit Trent on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 4 p.m.
