The Brock men's hockey team edged the Toronto Varsity Blues 2-1 on the road to extend their win streak to five games on Friday.
Joey Manchurek scored just a minute and 12 seconds into the game before Brock's Ryan Burton tied the game up 1-1 at 15:12 of the first.
"I thought in the first period they were a little more desperate," said head coach Marty Williamson. "But we pushed the pace in the second and third and finally broke through."
After a scoreless second period, Ayden MacDonald netted the game winner midway through the third. Frankie Pucci and Brandon O'Quinn each tallied an assist.
Goaltender Logan Thompson made 27 saves, while the Badgers fired 22 shots on Toronto netminder Alex Bishop.
Up next, the Badgers (15-5) will travel to Waterloo to play the Warriors (6-10-5-5) on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m.
