Box Score Darby Taylor scored 17 kills and the Brock women's volleyball team extended their win streak to four games with a 3-2 (13-25, 25-23, 25-22, 17-25, 15-7) win over the Guelph Gryphons on the road Thursday.
Taylor recorded a .316 kill percentage, two service aces, a block and six digs.
"Tough battle, but we were able to come out on top," said head coach Steve Delaney. "We need to limit our errors in order to make it easier on ourselves. However, at the end of the day it's an away win in five sets, which is always a big accomplishment."
Laura Condotta added 15 kills and 14 digs.
After losing the first set, the Badgers rallied with back-to-back wins to take a 2-1 lead. Brock committed a total of 30 errors, but was stout on the defensive side of the ball and outblocked Guelph 12-5.Â
Grace Edwards and Grace Pyatt each posted seven kills, and Jennifer Todd contributed three service aces.
Up next, the second-place Badgers (9-5) host Lakehead on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m.
