The Laurier Golden Hawks scored twice in the first half to slip by the Brock men's soccer team 2-1 at Brock Alumni Field on Sunday.

Jeroni Mestres and Lecuas Cabral scored four minutes apart late in the first half to give Laurier a two-goal lead .

"It's a chess match out there all the time. We try to flop between a couple of formations, so we know teams have come to scout us," said head coach Lucio Ianiero. "We may show them a different formation in the first half than the second. We try to keep it fresh, so teams don't study us and figure us out."

Brock's Malcolm McKay scored in the 88th minute for his first goal as a Badger.

For the Badgers, Jared Agyemang fired four shots on net. Lucas Mastromattei potted two shots. Leonardo Giron, Michael Fernandez, Alejandro Puentes and Sebastian Agudo each recorded a shot.
