The Brock women's rugby team will meet the York Lions in the OUA quarter-finals for a third consecutive year.
Brock hosts York for their first women's rugby playoff game at Brock Alumni Field on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
"We are in a good place health wise heading into playoffs," said head coach Mark Smerdon. "We will play our game and they will have to adapt to our style. Our goals that we had and have been improving on all season won't change."
Brock women's rugby played hosted their last playoff game in the early 2000s.
The Badgers posted a 1-3 record while competing in their first season among the OUA's top tier, the Shiels Division, this season.
Wing Lora Mateo leads the Badgers with three tries and a total of 15 points in four games. Back Daniella Michaud has also contributed 15 points thanks to a try and five converts.
Holly Murphy and Sara Shaw also tallied two tries for the Brock attack.
The Lions registered a record of 4-0 in the Russell Division this season as Natasha Naismith finished fifth in league scoring with a try, 16 converts and a penalty kick for a total of 40 points. Michela Stratton leads York with five tries.
These two teams have clashed several times since the OUA switched to their current divisional format.
Last season, the Badgers knocked the Lions out of the playoffs in Toronto by a score of 20-13, and down into the Russell Division for this year's campaign.
In 2017, the Lions got by the Badgers 34-24 while playing in the top tier.
Admission to the game is free. Parking in Zone 1 is free after 6 p.m., while paid parking is available at visitor Lots D, P and along University Road West (in front of Walker Sports Complex).
