Box Score The Brock women's hockey team clinched a playoff berth with a 2-1 overtime road victory versus the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday.
Paige Cohoon scored just 43 seconds into overtime to give Brock the victory.
"The leadership on this team has been great this season," said head coach Margot Page. "The players have taken charge of themselves to be better every day. It makes it a pleasure working with them and will serve as a strong foundation for our future."
Maggie Spratt-Mallick and Amanda Ieradi each earned an assist on Cohoon's goal.
Nipissing opened the scoring in the first period, however after a scoreless second Kim Brown found the back of the net on a feed from captain Brenna Murphy.
Goaltender Jensen Murphy made 27 saves, while Lakers netminder Danika Ranger kicked out 20 shots.
