Box Score The Brock men's volleyball team concluded the 2018-19 season with a 5-12 record.
"The biggest takeaway from our third season for this young team is to not let opportunities get away," said head coach Doug Hanes. "The chances we had to win matches before Christmas hurt us badly in the end, because we were close to our first playoff qualification."
The No. 4-ranked McMaster Marauders defeated the Badgers 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-21) at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday.
Logan House led Brock with 13 kills.
Alex Carter posted 11 digs and five kills while Ethan Kalef picked up five kills and seven digs. Mark Naqvi and Peter Schnabel each chipped in four kills.
Marcelo Correa recorded 31 assists.
For McMaster, Matt Passalent led the way with 13 kills.
"As a group they are understanding more and more what it takes to win, in matches, but particularly in practice and we will continue to evolve as a group with the addition of some excellent recruits next year," said Hanes. "I am cautiously optimistic that we will have a break-through season next year if our recruiting falls into place."
