The Brock women's soccer team outshot the Waterloo Warriors, but couldn't solve their goalkeeper as the match ended in a 0-0 scoreless draw at Warriors Field on Saturday.
"We were the better team and created the most chances, but we just couldn't finish," said head coach Kevin Trethowan.
The Badgers best chance came in the second half when first-year strike Erica D'Alesio flew down the right side of the field and chipped a shot off Warriors keeper Morgan Berg and hit the crossbar and Berg stopped forward Samantha Bayer's follow-up header.
"Three points would have been ideal, but we'll settle for a point," said Trethowan.
Brock manufactured four shots in the second half to outshoot Waterloo 5-3.
Bayer registered two shots on goal, while first-year midfielder Ivana Kanisek recorded three shots. For the Warriors, Mylissa Tom led the way with three shots.
Up next, the Badgers (0-0-1) host the Windsor Lancers (0-1-0) at Brock Alumni Field on Sunday, Sept. 1 at noon.
