The McMaster Marauders defeated the Brock women's rugby team 29-5 for their first win of the season in Hamilton on Saturday.
McMaster scored the game's first five tries before third-year hooker Hope Blackmore tallied Brock's lone try.
"A lot of our in-game and foundation-building goals were met despite the loss," said head coach Mark Smerdon. "Hope scored off a perfectly executed line out and maul."
Britni French led McMaster with a pair of tries, while Stacey Warner, Tia Svoboda and Madi Coathup also found the end zone.
Up next, the Badgers (1-1) return to host Queen's (3-0) for their first home game of the season during Homecoming weekend on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. Admission to Brock Alumni Field is free.
