The Brock men's volleyball team picked up where they left off.
The Badgers shut out their second consecutive opponent at Bob Davis Gymnasium with a 3-0 (25-21, 30-28, 25-18) victory over the Trent Excalibur to extend their win streak to three games on Jan. 17.
Brock shut out the Guelph Gryphons 3-0 before the holiday break on Nov. 23.
Second-year outside hitter Logan House led the offence with 15 kills and a .481 kill percentage. He also added five digs as he contributed a total of 17.5 points.Â
Marcelo Correa posted 35 assists, five kills and two blocks.
"All our attackers hit extremely well and Marcelo distributed the ball effectively," said head coach Matt Ragogna. "Logan House put balls away, but more importantly passed extremely well."
Saulius Lianga connected for 10 kills (.421 hitting percentage) and contributed eight digs. Dean Globocki secured seven kill and Peter Schnabel scored five. Mark Naqvi recorded three blocks.
Brock registered a blistering .520 kill percentage in the opening set and held on to overcome Trent's comeback attempt in the second.
"Although we played a clean game on the offensive side, we still are working on getting back to full form," said Ragogna. "Offensively, we hit .394 as a team and passed the highest we have all season, so some small issues at the net and defensively need to be cleaned up heading into a big game Sunday."
Up next, the Badgers (5-5) host the Ryerson Rams of the OUA East on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 4 p.m. Get your tickets here.
