Miskolczi turns aside Guelph in home draw

ST CATHARINES – Hosting the Guelph Gryphons at Alumni Field on Sunday in the second match of a home-and-home series, the Brock Badgers men's soccer team picked up a 0-0 draw.

Brock now holds a 4-3-4 record placing them in fifth in the OUA West division heading into the final weekend of the regular season. A defensive juggernaut this season, the Badgers have conceded just five goals over 11 matches with seven clean sheets.

The star of the match for the Badgers was in net as keeper Taylor Miskolczi played exceptionally well in the clean sheet. Under pressure through the entirety of the 90 minutes, Miskolczi finished the match with 10 total saves including several finger-tip efforts in the first half and two late game-saving stops.

Brock will conclude their regular season next Friday, Oct. 21 when they challenge the OUA West leading York Lions. The home finale is set to kick off at 8:15 p.m. with the match also streamed on OUA.TV.
