GUELPH - After putting together a season which saw the Brock women's rugby team achieve rankings in the U SPORTS national Top 10, the Badgers season came to an end after running into the No. 5 Guelph Gryphons in the OUA semifinals on Saturday afternoon.

Following a tightly contested quarter-final upset of the McMaster Marauders just a week ago, Brock fell by a final score of 58-0 to the Gryphons in the semifinal round.

Despite the score, the Badgers battled throughout with strong tackles and several sequences. A theme that has persisted for the women's rugby team this season, they never shied away from contact, putting the pressure to the perennial powerhouse in Guelph.

After completing a successful 2022 OUA campaign which saw them reach the final four, Brock will look to utilize a strong offseason training and recruitment to continue to progress towards challenging the top teams in the province in the coming years.
