ST CATHARINES - In preseason action at the Bob Davis Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon, the Brock Badgers women's volleyball team defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues in straight sets.
Brock were fast out of the gate scoring a decisive 25-13 first set win. Afterwards, the Varsity Blues put tgoether a string of strong rallies, but were still unable to keep up with the Badgers. Brock would capture the second set by a final of 25-20 and the third by a score of 25-19.
Christina Jovetic led the offence for Brock finishing with 14.5 points from 10 kills, three service aces, and three block assists.
Mackenna Knox and
Lauren Teehan split time in the setter position registering 14 and 16 assists, respectively. On the defensive side of the court
Aleiah Torres notched a game-high 10 digs for the Badgers.
Brock has one more exhibition outing on their preseason schedule, facing the York Lions at home in the Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday, Oct. 28. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tickets for the exhibition match can be purchased at
