OSHAWA - The Brock Badgers women's hockey team earned a 3-2 win over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks in Oshawa on Thursday night.
Brock scored the first goal in the road contest with just two minutes remaining in the first period as
Ella Krushelnicki delivered a booming shot from the blue line to hand the Badgers a 1-0 lead at the end of 20 minutes.
Heading into the second frame,
Madeline Nicholson scored her second goal in as many games, taking advantage of a deflected puck in front of the Ridgebacks net while on a powerplay. Ontario Tech were able to answer back with two goals of their own in a penalty filled period making it a 2-2 tie entering the third.

With less than five minutes remaining in regulation, third-year forward
Catriona Cormier would notch the game-winner for the Badgers from an assist from
Mishayla Christensen who finished the night with two helpers.

Tiffany Hsu earned her second win of the season making 20 total saves.
There is little time for rest for the Badgers as they are back on the ice tomorrow Saturday, Oct. 29 in Kingston to face the Queen's Gaels. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with the game available to stream online at OUA.TV.
