HAMILTON - Beginning the 2022-23 campaign in Hamilton, the Brock Badgers men's and women's wrestling team competed at the McMaster Invitational this past weekend.

In the overall team category Brock finished in fifth place with 48 points trailing Concordia (49), Western (61), Alberta (84), and McMaster (85). Meanwhile, in the women's team category the Badgers placed third, while the men were sixth overall.

Achieving Top 6 results, Samantha Adams won the women's 67kg category, Michaela Rankin finished second in the women's 63kg event, Vanessa Keefe was third and Rachel Hall was sixth in the 72kg group, Mia Friesen was sixth in the 59kg event, and Brooklyn Brown placed sixth in the women's 53kg.

For the men, Roger Li won the 125kg category, Jordan Wylie was third in the 82kg event, Callum Knox also placed third in 100kg, Gabriel Blanchette finished fifth in the 68kg category, and Mark Summers placed fifth in 90kg, 

Brock next travels to Toronto to compete at the TMU Open taking place on Sunday, Nov. 13.
