HAMILTON - The Brock Badgers women's basketball team fell 66-53 to the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton on Saturday night.

Brock were in tough from the tip-off as McMaster opened the contest with their first eight made field goals coming from behind the three-point arc. Battling from a large deficit, the Badgers were able to close to within nine points early in the third quarter, but the gap would prove too much to overcome.
The Marauders finished the contest with 12 made three-pointers from great ball movement which resulted in 20 total assists. Meanwhile, the strong end to the second quarter and start to the third for Brock was propelled by defence which saw the Badgers rack up eight blocks and 11 steals.
Madalyn Weinert led Brock in scoring with 15 points through 28 minutes of action. She added eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks to complete a well-rounded performance. Both

Noor Bazzi notched nine points for the Badgers, combining for five made three-pointers themselves.

McMaster was paced by a double-double outing from Sarah Gates who finished the win with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Brock remains on the road challenging the York Lions next on Friday, Nov. 25 in Toronto. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the game livestreamed on OUA.TV.
