ST. CATHARINES - The Brock Badgers took down the No. 9 Carleton Ravens 73-65 to snap a three-game losing streak during Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women's basketball action at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday, Dec. 2.
A total of four Badgers posted double-digit scoring as
Madalyn Weinert led the offence with 22 points and 14 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double this season.
"This was a team win. From top to bottom it was all effort. From the bench to the crowd, the cheerleaders, that was a team effort," said Weinert, a second-year guard from St. Catharines. "We've had a dip in our season, and we've been trying to preach effort. We saw that tonight, so that's what we're proud of right now. A big win."

Theresa Brown tallied 16 and senior guard
Noor Bazzi registered 13. Weinert dished out six assists.
Brock roared out of the gate with a 21-10 lead in the first quarter before Carleton stormed back with 26 points to outscore the Badgers by nine before halftime.
In the first half, the Badgers had 19 possessions with three or more passes while nine of 13 field goals came off assists.
For Carleton, Jacqueline Urban and Oceane Kounkou led the Ravens with 15 points each.
Brock hosts the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. to cap off the first half of the 2022-23 campaign. Tickets can be purchased at
