ST. CATHARINES – Facing off against a second straight nationally ranked opponent, the Brock Badgers women's hockey team fell 6-1 to the No. 8 Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon at Canada Games Park.
The fastest of starts, Brock took just 25 seconds to score the opening goal on home ice as
Marin Green sent a long shot from the blue line that proved too difficult to handle for the Warriors goalie. The goal marked the second of the season for Green.
However, the unassisted opening marker would prove to be the only goal for the home side as Waterloo took control of the game shortly after, scoring six unanswered goals throughout the remainder of the game. Leading the charge for the Warriors was Carley Olivier who notched a hat-trick in the win, with all three of her goals coming on the powerplay.
Brock starting goaltender
