WINDSOR - The Brock women's hockey team lost 3-1 to the Windsor Lancers on the road to begin the second half of the 2022-23 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) campaign.
 
Windsor scored three goals throughout the first frame to take an early lead. The second period remained scoreless as netminder Kenzie Harmison and the Badgers held the Lancer's power play at bay, including a 5-on-3 opportunity.
 
Brock has a near-perfect penalty kill when on the road as they've allowed only one goal away (95.5 per cent).
 
The Badgers narrowly outshot the Lancers 22-21.
 
Brock's Claudia Murphy ended Windsor goalie Kristen Swiatoschik's bid for a shutout with a goal early in the third period.
 
Catriona Cormier and Mia Landry each earned an assist on the marker.
 
For Windsor, Jessica Gribbon scored twice and Keana McKibbin added a goal.
