Game Recap: Men's Hockey | | Michael Raskin

Brock men's hockey team falls to Varsity Blues

The Brock men's hockey team lost 4-2 to the Varsity Blues in Toronto on Tuesday, March 8.

Captain Jared Marino and Jacob Roach scored for the Badgers.

"I thought offensively we did some good things to generate enough prime scoring chances to get a few goals, but our finish around the net was lacking and only managed two," said interim head coach Kevin Forrest. "We made some bad decisions with the puck tonight that stalled our transition game and breakouts and gave them some prime chances. Three of their goals started with bad puck management on our part, we were our own worst enemy many times tonight and it cost us the game."

BADGER BULLETIN
  • Brock tied the game up twice as Roach converted Brock's third power-play opportunity of the second period.
  • Marino's goal late in the first was his team-leading seventh marker of the season.
  • Zachary Taylor, Christian Girhiny and Tyler Burnie each added an assist.

Next, the Badgers (7-4-2) return to Toronto for their last regular-season game of the season against the Varsity Blues on Friday, March 11 at 7 p.m.
