WINDSOR - The Brock women's hockey team skated away with a point following a 3-2 overtime loss to the Windsor Lancers on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Claudia Murphy scored a goal in her second consecutive game and Madison Cronwright added a power-play goal.

Brock goaltender
Kenzie Harmison made 28 saves including a stop on two undefended Lancers in overtime. Brock outshot Windsor 36-31.

The Lancers opened the scoring seven minutes into the first period. The Badgers responded by tying it up late in the period on a power-play goal courtesy of Cronkwright.

In the third, the Lancers took their second lead of the game before Murphy's game-tying goal at 9:44. Murphy has three goals in her last four games.

The overtime featured multiple scoring chances from both teams, however Windsor's Keana McKibbin found the back of the net for the overtime winner.

Windsor goalie Cadence Petitclerc stopped 34 shots for the win. McKibbin scored twice for Windsor, and Jaden Cherry potted a goal and an assist.

The Badgers are back in action on Friday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. when they host the Waterloo Warriors in their first home game of 2023. Tickets can be purchased at brocku.university.tickets.com and the game can be streamed online via OUA.tv.
