Brock women's hockey looks to regroup versus York

The Brock women's hockey team suffered its second consecutive loss on the home ice on Friday, Oct. 27.
 
The Badgers lost 5-1 to the visiting Windsor Lancers at Canada Games Park.
 
Second-year forward Jenna Duarte scored her first Ontario University Athletics (OUA) career goal in a Brock uniform. Senior defenceman Madelyn Walsh registered an assist, and currently leads the Badgers in scoring with four points in three games.
 
The first period began with a penalty for Kaedyn Gomes of Brock, but Windsor couldn't capitalize on the power play. However, shortly after the penalty expired, Elissa Benjamin of Windsor broke the ice with a goal.
 
In the second period, Windsor's Olivia Knuff extended the lead with a goal, making it 2-0,.
 
Jessica Gribbon, Emily Eikelboom and Maggi DeWolf-Russ each contributed to Windsor's lead. Duarte managed to score one for Brock at the 15:06 mark of the final frame.
 
Brock netminder Kenzie Harmison made 22 saves while Windsor goaltender Kristen Swiatoschik made 23 saves.
