Brock continues the battle for postseason seeding

ST. CATHARINES - In their regular season home finale, the No. 6 nationally ranked Brock Badgers earned a vital 74-71 victory over the visiting TMU Bold on Friday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Following the win, Brock improved their season record to 16-5 placing them in a four-way tie with Queen's, Windsor, and Lakehead for fourth in the OUA. For the OUA postseason, the top 12 teams qualify with the top four receiving a first round bye. All four teams will play their final regular season games tomorrow.

In the Friday night showdown, the Badgers were slow out of the gates trailing TMU 17-15 at the end of the first quarter. Finding their form as the game continued to progress, Brock surged ahead in the second utilizing strong interior play which eventually led to nine total blocks and out-rebounding the Bold 45-26 by the final whistle.

A full team effort, the Badgers saw nine players record at least a point, with four reaching double-digits in the win. Nailing three clutch three-pointers in the game, Godsman Kwakwah led the way with a team-high 15 points, followed closely behind by 14 from Jevon Brown, 13 for Daniel Caldwell, and 12 points tallied by Jesse Barnes.
