TORONTO - The Brock Badgers women's basketball team concluded their regular season on the road in Toronto with a 67-62 win over the TMU Bold on Saturday night.
It was neck-and-neck contest all throughout with the largest lead being seven among both squads. It wasn't until the final five minutes that the Badgers pulled away for the win, thanks to a clutch three-point dagger by forward
Olivia Fiorucci.
The Badgers controlled the glass out-rebounding TMU 46-34 on the night, while also capitalizing on more free throws shooting 86 percent on 19 makes. 19/22 (86.4%) This was largely led by Badgers standout
Madalyn Weinert, who went a perfect 10-for-10 from the line. Weinert also notched her 10th double-double of the season with a game-high 23 points and 11 boards. Guard
Kaley DeMont also showcased her range for Brock shooting 3-for-5 from behind the arc, tallying 11 points alongside six rebounds.
Rachel Farwell led the way for the Bold with a team-high 14 points.
Brock will now head into the OUA postseason traveling for their first round match scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22. Once their opponent and game time are confirmed, the action will be available to watch online at
