The Brock Badgers were victorious at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex on Friday, Oct. 11.

Looking to bounce back after two straight defeats, the Badgers clinched a 3-2 win over the Lancers.

Third-year forward Ethan Sims was huge for Brock, scoring a goal and adding two assists while first-year forward Alexis Cournoyer scored the game-winning power play goal for the Badgers midway through the third period.

Holden Rogers, a third-year forward, scored his third goal of the season in the contest.

Building off his first career Ontario University Athletics (OUA) goal last night, Zack Stringer notched two assists in the victory.

Goaltender Samuel Vyletelka made 22 saves while also getting his first career OUA win.

The Badgers started the game off on the front foot, leading 2-0 at the end of the first period thanks to goals from Sims and Rogers.

Windsor dug deep and tied the game with two goals in the second period.

Cournoyer scored the eventual winner in the third period for the Badgers on the power play.

Jacob Hoffrogge, Zander Stewart and Jordan Stock each notched one assist in the game.

The Badgers were outshot by Windsor by a count of 24-18.

Up next, the Brock Badgers men's hockey team begin a three-game home stint at Canada Games Park as they face the Nipissing University Lakers on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m for the home opener.
