The Brock Badgers women's hockey team fell 9-1 on Saturday Oct. 12, 2024 to the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees at Minto Sports Complex.

The Badgers were down 6-0 in the second frame, when Madelyn Walsh fired a shot from the blue line to register her first Ontario University Athletics (OUA) goal of the season.

Sydney Hood also registered an assist on the lone Brock goal.

The Gee-Gees ended the second period scoring twice with an additional goal in the third period.

Brock first-year goalie Kennedy Lonson started the game, making 11 saves, with first-year goaltender Megan Thiessen playing in relief and delivering 29 saves.
