Brock was unable to snap a two-game skid after falling by one goal.
The Brock Badgers women's hockey team battled hard but fell 3-2 on Friday, Oct. 25 in Toronto.
Second-year goaltender Ava Cruikshank stood on her head, making 35 saves for Brock.
Sydney Hood scored the Badgers' first goal, while Randyll Strongman scored Brock's other goal in the contest.
The Varsity Blues took the lead midway through the first period in an exciting opening frame, which saw the Badgers tie it off Hood's deflected shot on the power play.
Then in the closing minutes, Toronto regained its first-period lead.
Strongman scored the second period's only goal to tie the game after Allison Moore's shot found its way to the Scarborough native.
Midway through the third period, Toronto would score the eventual game-winning goal.
The Badgers were outshot in the game 38-17.
Madelyn Walsh and Jenna Duarte both earned an assist on Hood's power-play goal. Strongman's goal in the second period earned Moore her first point of the season with an assist.
Next, the Badgers will face the Varsity Blues again, but this time at Canada Games Park on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. You can catch the action live on OUA.tv.
