Brock lost its first regulation game of the season against Waterloo.
The Brock Badgers men's hockey team fell 5-3 to the Waterloo Warriors on Friday, Oct. 25, at Canada Games Park.Â
Brock's goal scorers in the contest were Ethan Sims with one goal and Jordan Stock with two.
Despite putting up 19 shots in the opening frame, Brock could not find a way past Waterloo's Matt Onuska as there was no score through 20 minutes. Â
Waterloo scored the first two goals of the game in the second period but Sims responded with a goal to make it 2-1 after two periods played. Â
The third period began with Stock tying things off a bank shot, but Waterloo responded with two quick goals to take a 4-2 lead. Stock added another goal to cut into the Warriors' advantage before the visiting team added an empty-net goal to seal their away victory. Â
In his fourth consecutive start, Samuel Vyletelka made 23 saves in the contest.Â
Looking at the shot department, Brock piled on 50 shots to Waterloo's 27.Â
Brock scored twice in the powerplay, with both of those goals coming from Stock.Â
