Badgers shut out Lancers in Friday night contest

The Brock Badgers women's soccer team earned an outstanding win on Friday night.

The Badgers came out of the gates flying, tacking on two early goals against the Lancers which gave them the victory on Friday, Oct. 4 in Windsor as they fight to stay in playoff contention.

Brock found balanced scoring in the win, as Sabrina Bisante, Jenna Parris and Stefanie Young all scored for the Badgers.

In the first half, Young set the tone for Brock as the fourth-year forward buried it in the second minute, earning her fifth goal of the season.

Brock's early momentum continued as Bisante added to the Badgers' lead with a stunner in the 17th minute.

Parris sealed the deal for the Badgers in the second half and found the back of the net on a broken play extending the lead to 3-0.

Both teams were active in the shot department as Brock tallied 14 shots, eight on goal, with nine shots coming in the second half. Windsor had 16 shots with six on goal.

Goalkeeper Emi Foster had an outstanding performance earning a clean sheet with six saves.

Up next, the Badgers return home to Alumni Field where they face the Windsor Lancers on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. as they look for another big win.
