The Brock Badgers men's swimming team saw two program milestones in Waterloo.
In the Laurier tri-meet on Saturday, Nov.9, the Brock Badgers delivered a commanding performance as they bested both the Laurier Golden Hawks and York Lions.
The Badgers defeated the Golden Hawks 149-32 while they had a much larger margin over the Lions, winning 186-83.
Camren Courchene-Carter broke his own school record of 28 seconds and 99 milliseconds in the 50-metre breaststroke with a time of 28 seconds and 85 milliseconds.
In the 200m breaststroke event, Courchene-Carter also placed first, touching the wall in a time of 2:24.61.
Not to be outdone, Lucas Moavro (2:09.35) also broke a school record as he bested the previous mark of Anthonie Korstanje (2:09.93) by 55 milliseconds in the 200m individual medley.
Benjamin Schell had a strong day on the water in the backstroke events, placing first in both the 50m (27.38) and 100m (1:00.69) races.
In the 200m backstroke, Michael McCormick finished in a time of 2:10.40 to earn gold.
The other first-place finishers for the Badgers were Evan Karlov (100m freestyle - 53.00) and Lleyton Shuster (400m IM - 4:43.72).
Up next, the Badgers host the Dean Boles Divisional Championships on Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25 at the Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre.
