The Brock Badgers men's hockey team suffered a close defeat to the UQTR Patriotes.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Badgers traveled to Trois-Rivières where they fell by a score of 4-1 at the Colisée de Trois- Rivières Jean-Guy Talbot.
Ethan Sims scored the Badgers' lone goal with Ryan Thompson and Zack Stringer each registering an assist.UQTR opened the scoring nine minutes into the first period of play with several other chances to add to their lead before Hambley shut the door.
In the second period, Sims finished off an odd man rush potting in the equalizer. The Patriotes would retake the lead just over 15 minutes into the second period.
Midway through the third period, the Patriotes added to their lead with a power-play goal. The Badgers defensive abilities showed by killing off two other penalties, but it wasn't enough as UQTR scored a late empty net goal to seal the game.
Brock managed just 18 shots in the game compared to UQTR's 45.
Second-year goalie Will Hambley made 41 stops and allowed three goals.

Brock last faced TMU in the OUA Semifinal where they were defeated in a three-game series, winning Game 1 3-1 before falling 5-1 and 2-1 in Games 2 and 3.
