Brock earned their second win of the season in Sudbury.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Brock Badgers women's basketball team defeated the Laurentian Voyageurs 70-58 on the road at the Ben Avery Gym.
Madalyn Weinert continued her strong start to the 2024-25 campaign, finishing the game with a team-high 25 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the double-double.
Shailah Adams demonstrated her playmaking abilities with four assists for the Badgers.
The Badgers came out strong, ending the first quarter with a commanding 28-12 lead. Their defensive intensity was key, as they racked up five steals and forced eight turnovers, converting these into offensive opportunities.
Laurentian pushed back to chip away at Brock's lead, but the Badgers held firm owning a 57-41 lead at the half.
In the fourth quarter, the Voyageurs narrowed the gap, cutting what was once a 21-point lead down to nine. However, the Badgers capitalized in crucial moments to secure the win.
The Voyageurs led in three-pointers, hitting six to the Badgers' five, but the Badgers finished with a higher field goal percentage of 41.1% to the Voyageurs' 36.4%.
