Brock fell to Toronto in a one-sided game.
On Saturday, Nov. 23, the Brock Badgers men's hockey team faced off against the Toronto Varsity Blues at Canada Games Park where they lost by a score of 4-0.
Fourth-year goalie Samuel Vyletelka got the start in between the pipes for the Badgers and made 27 saves on 30 shot attempts.
Both teams came out the gates ready to play shutdown defence as there were minimal scoring opportunities on either end of the ice with each side ringing one off the iron once.
A busy second period for the Varsity Blues saw them score two goals minutes apart, one being shorthanded. Brock had some chances, but Toronto's defence continued to limit the Brock offence.
The third frame was no different as the Varsity Blues added to their lead with two goals, while goaltender Rayce Ramsay stood up tall for the shutout despite Brock's efforts to get on the board.
Toronto led the shot department with 31 shots compared to Brock's 25.
Brock will meet Toronto again on the road on Jan. 11 where they look to even the season series.
Coming up, the Badgers get a week to prepare as they play the Laurier Golden Hawks at Canada Games Park on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. Earlier this season, Brock fell 3-2 in overtime to Laurier in Waterloo on Oct. 5 and now look to get it back.
