Heyes' buzzer beater leads Badgers past Mustangs

The Brock Badgers men's basketball team won with a last second heave in a miracle moment.

Heyes led the Badgers in scoring with 21 points on the back of seven three-pointers.

The Badgers started the game strong with a 23-22 lead after the first quarter, with Heyes registering nine points in the frame.

Western would not be denied as they started to shut down the Brock scoring, with the Badgers scoring just 15 points while the Mustangs posted 21 points in the second quarter.

The third quarter was all defence on both sides as the teams combined for a mere 29 points, with 16 from the Badgers and 13 from the Mustangs.

Brock held the game close with a 73-73 score and less than a few seconds on the clock before Western's Matteo Zagar converted a shot to grab a 75-73 lead with 0.5 seconds left in the game.

After a timeout, Heyes hit his seventh three-pointer of the game with zero seconds on the clock as the Badgers swarmed the court to celebrate his last second winner.
