Two years after the first Brock Badgers logo was announced and revealed in fall 1980, the 'Brock Badger' mascot made its debut during Homecoming in November 1982.

More than 40 years after its debut, Brock's mascot has become the iconic Boomer the Badger. 

But Boomer has become more than just a mascot for Brock University. Boomer embodies the spirit and pride of the entire campus. Boomer unites students, alumni and the community to foster a strong sense of identity and belonging. The community can rely on Boomer to boost morale at events and create lasting traditions that inspire school pride year-round.
