The Brock Badgers men's soccer team captured a come-from behind-victory over the Waterloo Warriors.
Brock dazzled Waterloo with a 2-1 victory at Alumni Field on Sunday, Sept. 29 to pick up their third win of the season and a season sweep of the Warriors.
Malik Darbi and Conrad Czarnecki found the back of the net for Brock in the contest.
Waterloo capitalized early on for the lead with a goal scored by Sebastian Noftall in the third minute.
Despite the goal, the Badgers outshot the Warriors six to one in the first half, notching plenty of chances.
It was a physical first half as there was a total of four cards combined between both teams, including a red card called on Waterloo's Patrick Brousseau.
Brock scored their first of the second half with a header for the goal by Darbi from a cross-field pass from Michael Pais in the 50th minute, tying the game at one apiece.
Waterloo was given a penalty kick in the 60th minute but Brock's Taylor Miskolczi came up with a huge save to deny Waterloo the chance to take the lead.
Shortly after, the Badgers had a penalty kick of their own, allowing Czarnecki to bury it and put the Badgers up 2-1.
Miskolczi had a quiet game as he finished the game with one save; a big one to keep Brock in it.
In the shots department, Brock led the way with 11 shots with eight on target compared to Waterloo's three shots with two on target.
The Warriors had three yellow cards and one red in comparison to the Badgers' two yellow cards.
Next, the Brock Badgers take the pitch in Windsor against the Windsor Lancers at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4. Last season the Badgers controlled the Lancers with a 5-0 victory in Windsor on Sept. 24, 2023.
