The Brock Badgers men's soccer team hosted the Western Mustangs on a rainy night at Alumni Field.
A late goal from Western saw Brock endure a heartbreaking loss, as the visitors came away with the 2-1 win on Friday, Sept. 6.
Conrad Czarnecki scored for the Badgers after Western committed a foul in the box, which saw Brock go to the penalty spot.
The goal from Czarnecki equalized the game in the final minute of regulation time after Western's Ibrahim Saadi opened the scoring.
Just moments later, Western found a late winner from Charlie Bontis in what was almost the last kick of the game.
Western led in shots in the match with eight to Brock's six.
Fourth-year keeper Taylor Miskolczi stopped three shots in the game, matching a season high.
During the match, Czarnecki, Lucas Medeiros and Sebastian Petrilli received one yellow card each for the Badgers. Bontis, Nicholas Fereira and Josh Solomon were the recipients of one yellow card each for the Mustangs.
Next, the Brock Badgers men's soccer team will face the same Western Mustangs, this time in London, on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 8:15 p.m.
