Brock was defeated in a mostly scoreless contest by TMU.
The Brock Badgers women's hockey team fell 2-0 in a battle that was quiet through the first two periods against the TMU Bold on Friday, Jan. 24 at Canada Games Park.
Goaltender Kennedy London stopped an early first period penalty shot and made 12 saves in the contest.
The opening period of play was closely contested. An outstanding penalty shot save by Lonson kept the game scoreless and gave the Badgers momentum heading into the first intermission.
The Badgers dominated the shot tally 14 to 5, although the game remained scoreless after the second period. As the pressure mounted, both goaltenders refused to give up the first goal.
In the third period, the Badgers took multiple penalties, resulting in the Bold opening the floodgates as they capitalized midway through the third, and eventually finding the empty net.
The Badgers outshot the Bold 34 to 19 in the loss.
Up next, the Badgers will continue their homestand as they take on the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. at Canada Games Park. Brock will look to even up the regular season series with Laurier who they lost to 4-0 on Nov. 30. Tickets can be purchased here, and the action can be streamed on OUA.tv.
