Brock secured its third straight win.
The Brock Badgers men's hockey team put six goals past the Carleton Ravens as they came away with a 6-4 win on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Canada Games Park.
In the victory, first-year forward Tyson Greenway scored his first career Ontario University Athletics (OUA) goal.
Brock had six different goal scorers in the game, with the other five coming from Jacob Hoffrogge, Holden Rogers, Ethan Sims, Jordan Stock, and Ryan Thompson.
The Badgers struck just four minutes into the contest with Thompson breaking the ice on a tap-in in front. After the Ravens found an equalizer on a 5-on-3 power play, Brock regained the lead through Rogers before adding a third through Hoffrogge.
Continuing to build on their lead in the second period, the Badgers found a fourth goal from Stock with the third-year forward scoring on the penalty kill. Two minutes later, Brock extended its lead with Greenway getting his OUA first before Carleton found its second of the afternoon to make it 5-2 after 40 minutes played.
In the third and final frame, the Ravens looked to keep themselves in the game but their two goals were not enough with Sims also adding an insurance goal.
Badgers' second-year goaltender Will Hambley stopped 31 of 35 shots in the win.
Brock narrowly outshot the visitors 39-25.
Next, the Brock Badgers men's hockey team heads to Thunder Bay to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Friday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. You can follow along on OUA.tv. Last time out, Brock defeated Lakehead 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 7, 2024.
