Fourth-year goalie Samuel Vyletelka made 35 saves for Brock, including several in the third period on a late penalty kill to keep the Badgers in the game.

Brock was unable to capitalize on a couple of power-play opportunities before Lakehead doubled their lead in the second period just under 14 minutes into the frame.
