The Badgers fought hard against a nationally ranked opponent at Bob Davis Gymnasium. 

The Brock Badgers men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (18-25, 21-25, 18-25) contest against the No. 10 York Lions on Friday, Feb. 7. 

Kylar Code was the highest-scoring Badger in the contest, notching 12 points from eight kills and a game-high four service aces, while Adam Shapcott delivered a team-high 23 assists. 

The first set featured back-and-forth action for the majority of the frame, which saw the score deadlocked at 17-17. York was the first team to find an edge, and they did so in emphatic fashion, surging out to an 8-1 run to take the first set 25-18. 

Much of the same featured in the second set, as both teams traded points late into the frame. Despite not trailing by more than four points in the entire set, the Badgers still found themselves dropping the frame as the Lions would take it by a score of 25-21. 

The third set saw the hosts playing catch up for the majority as the Lions were able to build on their momentum and ride it out to a 25-18 set victory and 3-0 win. 

The Lions' hitting percentage of .418 bested the Badgers' clip of .172.
