Heading to the Western Open on Sunday, Jan. 18 in London, Ont., the Badgers men's wrestling team sent another small group to the event where they placed tenth overall.
Austin Brabant matched his highest finish of the year so far with a second-place result in the 82-kilogram event, while Javier Tonita-Charriez earned a bronze for the fourth tournament of the season in the 61kg division.
The Badgers have one more competition before the OUA Championships as they compete at the Guelph Open on Saturday, Jan. 24 in Guelph, Ont.

The Brock women's wrestling team went with a smaller contingent of athletes to the Western Open on Sunday, Jan. 18 in London, Ont., and placed tenth overall.
Olivia Mathezer placed fourth in the 56kg event to lead the results for the Badgers, while two Badgers Aleena Dhanji (62kg) and Claudia Landry (83kg) finished fifth.
Looking to build momentum ahead of the OUA Championships, the Badgers travel to Guelph, Ont., for the Guelph Open on Saturday, Jan. 24 for their final tune-up.
