The Brock Badgers men's hockey team are in the win column for the first time in the 2026-27 OUA regular season.
Travelling back to Canada Games Park for the second game of a back-to-back,
Tai York's two goals turned out to be the difference in the Badgers 4-1 victory over the TMU Bold on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The sophomore recorded his first goal of the season with less than five minutes remaining in the opening period, but a TMU equalizer with eight seconds left in the frame knotted up the affair heading into the first intermission.
York added his second of the evening for the only goal of the second period, before
Natan Ethier grabbed his first career OUA goal and second point of the night in the game's final minutes to give the Badgers some breathing room.
Keefe Gruener grabbed the empty netter for Brock's fourth goal of the game.
Goaltender
Ben Bonisteel was vital in the victory in his season debut, stopping 42 of the 43 shots that came his way, including all 18 that he faced throughout the third period.
Up next, the Badgers will travel to Toronto, opening their weekend with a battle against the Toronto Varsity Blues. The game will take place on Friday, Oct. 16., with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. The game can be streamed on
