The Brock Badgers men's hockey team have won their first road game of the season.
Travelling to Toronto on Friday, Oct. 16, the Badgers secured their second straight 4-1 victory, taking down the Toronto Varsity Blues on the back of
Natan Ethier's three goal performance.
The Quebec native opened the scoring four and a half minutes into the opening period, finishing off an odd man rush to give the Badgers an early lead.
Ryan Johnstone followed suit with his first goal of the season to give the visitors a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Toronto was able to pull a goal back in the closing seconds of the opening period, but Ethier's blast from the blue line on the powerplay in the second period restored Brock's two goal lead.
With the Badgers defence frustrating the Blues throughout the final frame, Ethier was able to complete his hattrick by slotting home the empty netter in the dying minutes of the period.
Netminder
Ben Bonisteel followed his 42 save performance against the TMU Bold by making 31 saves in the victory to continue his hot start to the season.
The Badgers will look to complete a weekend sweep in Toronto as they face the York Lions on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. The game can be seen on
