In the midst of a fight for a playoff spot, the Badgers pulled away with a 1-0 decision over the visiting Western Mustangs at Alumni Field.
Western had the offensive edge in the first half, generating 11 shots and four on target, which were all turned aside by Badger goalkeeper
Nikola Neskovic as he kept Brock in the game through 45 minutes.
The Badgers broke through early in the second half, as Brock University Athlete of the Week
Tiago Pereira scored his fifth goal of the season and fourth in the last three games with a strike in the 46th minute.
Intensity progressed throughout the game, with both teams picking up yellow cards as the 90th minute approached, but the score remained unchanged, and the Badgers held on for their fourth win of the campaign.
