The Brock Badgers men's soccer team's four-game win streak has come to an end.
Â
On Friday, Oct. 9., the Badgers fell 7-1 to the No. 2 nationally ranked York Lions in their penultimate match of the regular season.
Â
The hosts were clinical throughout the night, finding the back of the net on seven of their eight shots on goal, beginning in the 10th minute, where they were able to grab an early lead
Â
The Badgers showcased early resilience in response, as
Nicholas Buccianti headed home an equalizer in the 18th minute to level the game 1-1.
Â
However, York displayed their quality throughout the remainder of the first half, netting four more goals to give themselves a commanding lead at halftime that they would not look back on for the remainder of the night.
Â
The Badgers will look to bounce back and end the regular season on a positive note as they fight to secure their playoff spot in their final game. The team will look to their home support to help give them a boost, as they honour their seniors at Alumni Field against the Guelph Gryphons on Friday, Oct. 16 at 8:15 p.m. The game can be seen on
