Travelling to Kingston, Ont. for their first road game of the new season, the Brock Badgers women's rugby team battled hard against top ranked Queen's, but eventually fell short by a score of 60-7 on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Victoria Stuart registered Brock's only points of the afternoon, reaching the try zone in the 50th minute.

The highly ranked opposition got off to a quick start, building up a 37-point lead by the end of the first half.

Stuart's first score of the new season was unable to halt the Gaels momentum, as they continued to extend their lead throughout the second half to secure the victory.

Up next, the Badgers return to the road next weekend with a visit to Peterborough, Ont., as they look to claim victory against the Trent Excalibur on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. Game time is set for 2 p.m. The game can be seen on OUA.tv.
