Badgers outlast McMaster on the back of Parris winner and clean sheet

A second-half strike from captain Jenna Parris helped the Brock Badgers women's soccer team topple the McMaster Marauders.

The forward's fourth goal of the season proved to be the difference in the contest as Brock claimed a 1-0 victory at Alumni Field on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The game entered the halftime break scoreless after an evenly split first half in which both teams registered two shots on goal.

As the game entered its final stages, Parris finished off a neat string of passes with a composed finish in the 73rd minute.

Goalkeeper Maddy Heeley stood tall in the Brock net, recording three saves in the winning effort.

Brock's clean sheet marked their third of the season, as their strong defensive performances have become key to their hot start to the season.

Up next, the Badgers will pay a visit to Waterloo, Ont., to match up with the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday, Sept. 18. The game is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. as the Badgers look to continue their undefeated start to the season.
