Badgers fall to late Waterloo winner

Travelling back to Alumni Field for their second game of the weekend, the Brock Badgers men's soccer team were bested 2-1 by the Waterloo Warriors on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Leart Nura continued his red-hot form, netting Brock's lone goal of the contest and his second goal in as many games.

After a scoreless first half, Waterloo struck early after the halftime break, breaking the deadlock in the 46th minute.

Nura converted a well-executed set-piece to level the game, finishing off a corner from Ethan Raulino.

With the game entering the final ten minutes, the Warriors struck to take the lead, finding the back of the net in the 82nd minute.

The Badgers will now shift their focus to a matchup against the Algoma Thunderbirds as they look to return to the win column. The match is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 25 at 8:15 p.m. The game can be seen on OUA.tv.
