Parris hat trick helps Badgers overcome Algoma

Jenna Parris and the Brock Badgers women's soccer team were firing on all cylinders against the Algoma Thunderbirds.

The first-half hat trick from the team's leading scorer gave the Badgers a commanding 3-0 victory at Alumni Field in the Jorts & Jerseys themed game on Friday, Sept. 25.

The Badgers got the goal-scoring action started in the 18th minute, with Parris finishing off a pinpoint cross from Avery Cafaro.

The fifth-year forward added her second goal of the evening in the 32nd minute, before completing her hat trick with a headed goal from a corner just before the halftime break.

The Badgers strong defensive front was able to see out the victory in the second half, conceding just a single shot throughout the contest.

Up next, the Badgers will look to carry their momentum on the road as they visit the Guelph Gryphons aiming for their second victory of the weekend on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.
